Review: Keni Po Hotel Tagaytay

3

We stayed at Keni Po Hotel in Tagaytay from May 7-8. I booked through Agoda then I called the hotel to confirm our booking and to inform them that we will arrive between 5-6pm.

PROS:
Check-in/out:
- The receptionist was already expecting us and greeted me by my name.
- They only asked for the booking voucher from agoda and looked at my ID
- Check-in/out was really quick and the guard is helpful in carrying our luggages.

Room:
- Affordable rates!
- We got the Family Room beside the stairs, no room number which I find a bit weird.
- The kitchenette is equipped with a stove and a refridgerator. There are plates, utensils and cups for 3 people.
- Food and drinks in the kitchenette are reasonably priced, almost the same as the prices on convenience stores.
- The living room has a seating area with a fan and an old tv with cable.
- The bedroom is quite small. It comes with 2 queen beds and a flat tv mounted on the wall.
- The bathroom is also small, the shower is placed beside the toilet bowl. At first we didn't know how to make the shower work, but with a few twist and turn we finally got it working.
- Room service is good. The food was served hot and on time.
- The towels and toiletries for 4 people are placed on the bed.

Facilities:
- The garden looks nice.
- The pool is a bit small. The water is not really cold because it is still summer.
- There are cabanas with tables beside the pool where you can eat. Parking is ample and secure.

Here are some pictures I took.
Two queen-sized beds and 4 towels included in the room.

Toiletries.

My kids posing by the old crt tv in the living room.

My eldest trying out the couch while the baby looks on.

Fridge complete with drinks. The C2 is worth 25php and the 1.5 sodas are 55php.

3 sets of plates, eating utensils and cup in the kitchenette.

The stove, a frying pan and a pot.

Bathroom mirror and sink.

Toilet and shower inside the small bathroom.
We can see the church from our room.

CONS
- Stairs are narrow and steep.
- My son said the room smells old like dirt.
- No cabinet to put or hang your clothes in.
- Water pressure in the morning is almost nonexistent.
- Fridge needs cleaning.
- Aircon is a bit noisy.

Overall the hotel is good if you're not very picky and if you're in a tight budget.
