Cucumber & Lemon Water


It is really easy to start  healthy habit. Instead of drinking soda or powdered juices, I decided to drink flavored water. I really wanted to try the Fat Flush / Detox Water recipe I posted earlier but since I do not have all the ingredients, I just used what I have. 

My Cucumber and Lemon Water

Pitcher of drinking water

1 cucumber peeled

1/2 lemon peeled

I used a glass pitcher because it cools the water quicker and the contents look so pretty, lol. This pitcher usually holds 1 liter of water but since I added a whole cucumber, the water is just around 700 ml. I peeled the cucumber and lemon because I read that the peelings makes the water taste bitter.

I did this at night to let the cucumber and lemon infuse its juice to the water overnight.

I chose to pour the infused water in this 500ml glass tumbler and use a straw when drinking it. Why? I notice that I drink more liquids through a straw. I'm not really sure why though. I refill the pitcher 

I usually drink this 30 minutes before meals. 

So that's before breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner and almost-midnight snack. 

Yes, you read it correctly, I eat 6 times a day. I sleep around midnight because I try to do some work while baby is asleep.

I refill the pitcher with water and put it back in the fridge. I felt really thirsty after drinking my first glass, I think I drank 1 cup of water each hour. 

The downside is that I need to visit the bathroom every 30 minutes, which is good (I think) because it means the toxins are being flushed out through the urine.
