Mommy's little helper

Chores teach children responsibility and helps them become independent. Being able to help with the chores also makes my son feel important. Although he is not always enthusiastic about doing them (well who is?), he tries to finish his task without complaining much. Sometimes he uses the opportunity to negotiate with me.

Earlier today, he asked me to microwave his popcorn and in return he helped me take the cloth diapers down from the hanging rods. It's not his usual chore and he doesn't look so happy to help, but he did it anyway.

It's always a win-win situation... I get the extra help I need and he gets what he wants.

Does your child like helping with the chores?

Blessed be.
