Kid's Body Mass Index

0

I have been always concerned with my Russell's weight. He's always been slim since he started walking. Three years ago he was underweight due to the medication for the primary complex he unfortunately got from heaven knows where.

Kids Health.org calculates a child's Body Mass Index accurately because the child's age is taken into consideration. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that Russell's weight within the healthy range. So even though he doesn't look like the kids on the vitamins commercials (in Filipino term siksik) , I can put my worry into rest. Now, I just need to make sure that he maintains a healthy diet and exercise then everything will be alright.

Body mass index: A key index for relating a person's body weight to their height. The body mass index (BMI) is a person's weight in kilograms (kg) divided by their height in meters (m) squared. (www.medterms.com)

Have you checked your child's BMI today?

Blessed Be.
