Movie Night: Resident Evil Afterlife

Resident Evil: Afterlife is the fourth installment of the movie based on a hit video game. The story revolved around Alice (Milla Jovovich) and her continuous fight against Umbrella Corporation.

Umbrella Corporation experimented on a vaccine created by Dr. Ashford to help his sick daughter K-Mart to be able to walk again. However, when the vaccine became airborne inside Umbrella, the effect turned people into zombies. The computer gassed everyone in the facility with the hopes of putting an end to the virus.

Alice flew to Alaska hoping to find an entire community of survivors but all she saw was empty planes and the beach. She found Claire, unfortunately her friend has amnesia. They went back to the United States to look for other survivors and saw one group on top of the correctional facility in Los Angeles. The fight against the undead and the evil corporation behind the chaos began.

Ronald and I watched the regular movie, and not the 3D version. I noticed that the computer-generated-graphics of the movie are a bit obvious. One part of the movie seemed blurry as if it was meant for the 3D version. It could be a faulty film roll from the movie theater or it could be that something really went wrong. There were less fight scenes against the zombies as the focus was more on Umbrella, which disappointed Ronald a bit. Anyways, we saw the movie in Robinson's Midtown.

To anyone who watched the movie in 3D, have you encountered the same obvious cgi effects? Please feel free to leave a comment.

Blessed Be.
