2 hours with Demi-Gods

It was a regular movie date night with my husband. We decided to watch....

Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief

It's the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson's Greek mythology texts and into his life. And they're not happy: Zeus' lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Even more troubling is the sudden disappearance of Percy's mother. As Percy finds himself caught between angry and battling gods, he and his friends embark on a cross-country adventure to catch the true lightning thief, save Percy's mom, and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves. Written by 20th Century Fox

Logan Lerman, the actor portraying the role of Percy Jackson, was accused of stealing Zeus' lightning bolt. He was an insecure teenager with dyslexia and adhd, he felt like a loser and his facial expressions looked like one too. Btw, he looks like a teenage Ashton Kutcher, hehehe.

Grover, the best friend of Percy is played by Brandon T. Jackson. This guy is very funny and contributed almost all the funny parts in the movie.

Annabeth, is played by the beautiful Alexandra Daddario. She exhibited the term Girl Power perfectly.

Uma Thurman is awesome as usual, despite the short time she has on the film.

Pierce Brosnan is also a great addition to the cast. He definitely looked like a well respected professor.

The movie explained some of the details of Greek mythology by including them in the dialogue. I picked up all of them, probably because I have an idea on who the Greek Gods are. Drama, suspense, comedy and action... a great movie combination. I will not go through the technical details of the movie because I don't have the knowledge for that stuff. I'm just a movie freak, hehe.

Overall, I had fun watching the movie. The few hundred pesos was well spent.

Happy Valentines!

Blessed be.
